Thank you to our BPS Running Club Volunteers, Jen, Stuart and William. We appreciate you all running our training sessions for our runners every Friday before school. With our focus this term being cross country, it was awesome to see so many of our runners from running club performing so well in our BPS House Cross Country.
Our Before School Running Club trainings will continue next term.
Congratulations to all our BPS student runners who represented their house at our BPS Whole School House Cross Country this term. It was our first big community event for 2026 and it was terrific to see the turnout from our community to support our students and school. A big thank you to our princiapl and AP, Mr Minetti and Miss Fusillo for their amazing support and to our wonderful BPS staff set-up team who helped me set up the event before school.
Thank you also to our amazing parent volunteer team on the course, at the finsh line and our runners out in front guiding our athletes. We appreciate you all for your time, support and encouragement of all our runners throughout the day.
Thank you to our awesome BPS House Captain Leaders. One of my favourite parts of sporting events and our leadership program is watching our Grade 6's support our younger students and role model our values of encouragement, teamwork and personal best. Thank you Charlie, Max, Jessica, Melanie, Connor, Arielle, Lachlan and Christian!
And to our amazing student runners...
We talk a lot about personal best in our BPS PE classes and it was so wonderful to see the number of BPS students giving their best on the day and running for their house, regardless of their placing. To me it's always about the effort and participation that a students shows in all they do so it makes me proud to see our students stepping up and being out there! Well done BPS students!

Think of it as Play instead of “exercise” - dance to a tune, shoot hoops, play catch with your pet, have a family hide 'n seek game, sing your favourite song while you walk!"
A great resource for fun family games to keep you active and engaged is "The School of Play" app. Check out the "games" section!
Well that's all Team BPS! Have an awesome holiday BPS and stay health and safe. See you all in Term 2!
