Student Voice

Student voice is important at St Mary’s. Through our Student SRC, Whole School Assemblies and within each classroom, students have regular opportunities to share their ideas, perspectives and feedback. Each classroom also has a suggestion box where students can contribute their ideas and suggestions, which are collected and reviewed. This provides another important avenue for students to have their voices heard and contribute to our school community. 

Here are some of the ideas students have shared with our senior leaders at SRC meetings. These will be taken to the leadership team for discussion, and the outcomes will be shared with students at upcoming assemblies.

• News trees & flowers 
• New sandpit equipment 
• More lunch time activities 
• Crazy Hair Day 
• More whiteboard markers and erasers
