End of Term Fatigue
It's the tail-end of the term and everyone is beginning to feel tired, run-down and slow. There are some small steps you can take to make it through to the holidays where everyone gets a break in routine and a chance to reset.
- Reduce your social engagements where possible (if your child is seeming tired and overwhelmed)
- Keeping a consistent bedtime (earlier the better when getting tired)
- Being prepared - know about any important school dates that are on the calendar, making dinners ahead of time when you are able, uniforms and lunches packed the night before etc.
- Spending some time with your children to 'fill their cup' (10 mins with your full attention doing something they love can do wonders for a child's connection and regulation)
- Talking about how many days of school are left and the things to look forward in their break (crafts, family catch ups, sleep ins)
