Education Support Day!

Education Support Day is celebrated each year on May 16th and honours the remarkable contribution that Education Support (ES) staff make to education around the world.

At Essendon North Primary School, our ES are our classroom aides, office, library, facilities, grounds, newsletter and ICT staff. All play an essential role in the daily operation of ENPS, and on behalf of our students and staff, and Luna, Clarence and Amelia from 5JM share heartfelt appreciation for our incredible ES team below:

We are very lucky to have the most amazing Education Support Staff at our school. On Saturday 16th, Education Support Personnel Day is celebrated around the world! We wanted to say a huge thank you to the wonderful Education Support staff who make such a positive difference in our school every single day.

To all of our classroom ES staff – Sam, Jan, Ange, Georgia, Laura, Karen, Jo, Kathryn, Cassie, Stacey, and Eliza - thank you for helping kids who need extra support during the school day with their learning and wellbeing. You teach students things like how to write and how to use hand gestures to communicate. We love it when you use stickers to motivate students and make learning fun. Thank you for always being there to help us when we need it!

To our wonderful office staff - Emma, Teresa, and Darcy - thank you for doing SO many things for our school. We know we can always come to you for help, whether it’s finding a teacher, looking for lost property, or answering all the questions we have about school. You are always welcoming, organised, and ready to help us.

Stuart and Megan, thank you for cleaning up, organising, emptying the bins, leaf blowing, and always checking in on everyone around the school. You work so hard to make our school a better place, and we really appreciate everything you do for us every day.

Kiera, thank you for helping us when we feel unwell, sick, or hurt. You help us with asthma, scratches, allergies, bumps, and so many other things. We feel very lucky and grateful to have someone like you caring for us at school.

Julie, thank you for organising our books and giving us so many great books to read. You encourage us to try new books we haven’t read before and challenge us as readers. Thank you for helping us enjoy reading even more.

Fran, thank you for telling us about all the new things happening in our school. We appreciate all the effort you put into the newsletter and for sharing the achievements and news from our school. We love reading it and looking at all the photos.

Jenn and Darcy, thank you for helping us with all of our tech problems, helping with NAPLAN, and supporting us during tests. Thank you for always being there when we need help with iPads and TVs, especially when things freeze or we have tech problems. We really appreciate all the work you do behind the scenes.

Thank you to all our ES staff for helping our school every single day. We hope you stay at our school for a long time because you help make our school a happier, safer, and better place for everyone.

An additional thank you goes to the students in Years Two, Four and Five for creating the sensational ES profiles below! These were added to the beautiful gift bags (shoutout to Serena Walker) presented to ES staff at today's special morning tea, which was held in their honour (lots of delicious treats provided by our teaching staff and Executive Team!).
