Registrations for the 2026 Premiers' Reading Challenge are now closed. We have over 200 students enrolled; collectively, they have read over 1200 books already! The library now has a selection of books from the official reading list on display in the library, these books are clearly labelled and sorted by year levels F - 2, 3 - 4 and 5 - 6.

If you experience any problems with login codes or entering books to the website, please don’t hesitate to email me. Alternatively, students can come to see me any lunchtime.

The Children’s Book Council of Australia have announced the shortlist of the 2026 Children’s Book Awards. These awards are the most influential and highly respected literary awards for children in Australia.

Each year, the library purchases all six nominations in the following categories: Early Childhood, Fiction for Younger Readers, Picture Book of the Year and Information Book of the Year. These are currently on display and over the next few months will be read aloud to the students. We will then choose our favourites and see if we agree with the judges when they announce the winners in August!
