The Senior Choir and SINGERGY combined to perform a moving rendition of Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen, featuring multiple layered harmonies and excellent vocal blend. Strings in the Wilderness

Families may be interested in an upcoming concert event, Strings in the Wilderness, presented at the G.R.A.I.N. Store in Nathalia on Saturday 23 May.

The concert features Mickey & Michelle alongside exciting young Australian string group Apolline, whose music draws inspiration from a wide range of styles, including Celtic, jazz, and contemporary traditions. Students may especially enjoy seeing young professional musicians performing highly creative and imaginative original works, including music inspired by video games such as Minecraft.

The event will also feature harp, which is a rare opportunity to experience live, and includes a free pre-show artist talk exploring themes of hiking, nature, composition, and the relationship between music and landscape.

The G.R.A.I.N. Store provides a welcoming and family-friendly atmosphere, with gallery spaces and performance areas creating a full arts experience for attendees.

Tickets begin at $10, making the event very accessible for families interested in live music and the arts. Nathalia is approximately one hour from Echuca–Moama and could make for a wonderful evening outing.

Extra-Curricular Instrumental Tuition – Now Open for 2026

MAG offers a comprehensive Extra-Curricular Instrumental Music Program supported by specialist tutors across percussion, brass, woodwind, strings, guitar, piano, drums, bass, voice and rock bands.

The beginning of the year is an ideal time to commence instrumental lessons. Places are limited, and some instruments may have waiting lists. Students already enrolled in the 2025 program do not need to reapply.
