DENTAL VAN VISIT
A reminder that the Dental Van will be visiting BCC from Monday 9 November to Friday 13 November 2026. The Dental Van is a mobile dental service that brings dental care directly to schools, making it easier for students to access dental care without parents needing to take time off work or organise a separate appointment.
The qualified dental team will provide dental check-ups for students during their visit. If any further treatment is recommended, the dental team will contact parents/guardians to discuss this and the next steps before proceeding. Hard-copy consent forms will be sent to parents over the next week or two. - Mrs Katherine Suttie - Student Health Co-ordinator

CAMP AUSTRALIA
Out of School Hours Care Update
We’ve recently worked with Camp Australia to expand our Before School Care (BSC) offering. Starting Tuesday, 1 September, BSC will open 15 minutes earlier:
- Previous Hours: 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM
- New Hours: 6:45 AM – 9:00 AM (Starting Sept 1)
We hope this extra time is a support for families, giving them greater flexibility and the ability to access the service earlier in the morning as needed.
Camp Australia has been a trusted part of our school community for years, and between the highly-regarded service leader and the recent move into the refurbished I Block, the program is in a fantastic spot to support our students.

STUDENT EYECARE COMING IN 2027
The school is pleased to announce that the Student Eyecare Program will be running at the school in Term 1, 2027. An optometrist will be onsite during school hours to provide students with a free comprehensive eye examination that is covered through Medicare Australia. 1 in 6 students have eye conditions that go undetected. This is due to the high level of visual demand on their eyes from books, laptops, tablets and smartphones.
Every student will receive a full report about their eye health and a prescription will be provided if glasses are required. The prescription can be taken to any optical store to get the glasses made. Don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity.
