Year 9/10 Soccer
"I had a great time playing SIS soccer. Even though I don't like soccer that much, it was so much fun because of the team!! Even when we were losing (by a lot sometimes), we didn't let that get us down, and we still had so much fun anyway and just laughed about it. I also loved getting to know the Year 9s a bit more and getting to be in a team with them as well as the Year 10s." - Jasmine Slater, Year 10

Senior Girls SIS Netball
The senior girls netball team was the last senior SIS team of the year for the girls, and ever for the Year 12s. This team personified great team spirit and the joy of competing with their friends in an interschool context. They represented the school so well with laughter, sweat and tears. A major highlight of the season for me was the joy and deep emotion that was clearly on display before, during and after their last match. You could clearly see they loved being part of a team with friends and competing for the school. A great representation of the Bayside spirit in action. - Mr Goschnick
Senior Boys Basketball
The senior boys basketball team finished off their SIS season for the year strongly. This team was very skilled and highly motivated to perform at their best each week. Extremely competitive, when channelled towards the match, the team’s play was magnificent. High-pressure defence, fast-paced scoring as a result of intense play. The team won 4 out of 5 matches to finish equal first, and win the pennant for the division. It was a great end to the SIS careers of a number of our Year 12 students who have enjoyed great success at interschool sport over their high school careers.
CSEN Netball Competition
On the 20th of August, at Parkville State Netball Centre, Bayside took part in the CSEN Netball Competition for the first time. We competed with two teams: 7-9 Girls and 7-9 Boys. Both teams worked hard, played fair and encouraged each other throughout the day.
7-9 Girls Team: Taking part in the CSEN netball competition with the Years 7-9 girls was a really fun, exciting experience. We worked very well together, playing against many other Christian schools and encouraging each other throughout each game. It was especially rewarding to be involved in a competition like this, where we could challenge ourselves while still having fun. The positive atmosphere and teamwork were really good to see, as everyone gave their best effort, leading to a finish of 6th overall. It was an amazing day, and we made some great memories as a team. Amy Jones, Year 9
7-9 Boys team: As the competition progressed, the 7-9 boys continuously elevated their game, showing other teams their skill and determination. Their teamwork and encouragement for one another were truly impressive. After a strong, undefeated 3 games, our team then successfully won the Semi final, beating the reigning premiers to make it to the Grand Final. Despite 4 quarters of skilful gameplay, the boys unfortunately had a narrow loss, but the resilience and sportsmanship displayed did not go unnoticed. The experience was filled with excitement and strong competition, leaving us proud of achieving 2nd place overall. It was a truly awesome day, and well done to all who took part. Lucas Swales, Year 9
Everyone who attended is deeply grateful to the coaches of the day, Miss Farr and Mr Zwiersen. They encouraged us from the sidelines and helped each player grow and develop. We all thank them for their commitment to our teams; it was so great to share our victories with them both.
VCE OES Camp
The VCE Outdoor Education Studies class went on their semesterly camp. We headed to a camp site in Taggerty, while venturing out to Healsville Sanctuary, the Cathedral Ranges, and Stevensons Falls. There were some challenging hikes that we attempted, but through the incredible teamwork and support everyone gave each other, it was an experience like no other. It was such a joy to see all students attempt these challenges, continuing to grow in their cooking, budgeting, and adventuring skills.
