Year 10 News

As Term 2 draws to a close, we congratulate our Year 10 students on their engagement in this week's Career and Subject Expo. It was wonderful to see students and parents exploring VCE subject options and asking thoughtful questions. Thank you to the parents who attended and supported this important stage of pathway planning. 

Students are encouraged to speak with their English and Maths teachers for VCE subject recommendations. Key Term 3 dates include Course Counselling on August 5 and 7, with Web Preferences open from July 29 -August 12. Subject selections can be adjusted following counselling. Please contact your Year 10 Student Manager or Pathways team with any questions. Stay up-to-date by watching out for COMPASS posts next term. Additionally, students will be informed of the subject selection process in Assemblies next term.

Year 10 Physics 

The Year 10 Physics students recently had the pleasure of participating in a Cosmodome incursion, where a mini planetarium was set up in the school auditorium. This immersive experience allowed students to explore key concepts in astronomy and space science in an engaging and memorable way. 

Year 10 Physics students extended their understanding by exploring the life cycle of stars, the creation and possible fate of the universe, black holes, space-time and relativity. The incursion was a fantastic opportunity for students to connect classroom learning with a unique visual experience.
