Acting Assistant Principal
Mrs Samantha Pike
Year 7 & 8
Welcome back to Term 3! I’d like to thank all junior students and their families for their hard work and efforts throughout the year so far and encourage all to maintain that momentum into Semester 2.
I would also like to congratulate the many students who are being recognised at the Awards Assembly running this week.
For the first six weeks of this term, I will be looking after Mr Simpson’s portfolio and as a previous member of the junior sub-school, I am excited to become more involved in school-wide operations and events.
On that note there are a few notices and reminders of some upcoming events and tasks that we ask our families to complete:
Year 7 Immunisations
I recently posted to Compass a notice regarding information sharing with the City of Whittlesea Council.
I ask all Year 7 families to read the information provided and if you haven’t already, please let me know if you DO NOT wish your details to be given to the council’s immunisation team.
Further to this, there was a booking link and QR code provided for families to consent to being involved in the immunisation program. The details are again shared below, and the immunisation sessions will occur in September.

Learning Conferences
Learning Conferences will be occurring in Week 5 of this term: Thursday August 13th.
Just like in Term 1, there will be two onsite sessions for the day - 12-3pm and 4-7pm; conferences will run for approximately 7 minutes each and staff can be found in allocated rooms, that will appear on your booking sheet.
The booking system will open a week prior to the day, and I encourage all families to attend, to help support your student’s learning journey and strengthen the partnership with the school.
In the meantime, I have asked for families to inform either myself or Mr Mustafovski, if they require an interpreter for their conferences. If you haven’t already done so, please contact the school asap.
Congratulations again to all junior students for such a successful first semester and I encourage you all to reflect on your achievements and challenge yourselves to try something new in Semester 2.
