Year 9 and 10
Sub School Report

Year 9 and 10
Sub School Report
As we begin Semester 2, our Year 9 and Year 10 students have an exciting and important term ahead.
Subject Selections
One of the key focuses over the coming weeks is the Year 9 and Year 10 Subject Selection process. Choosing subjects is an important step in planning for future pathways, whether students are considering VCE, VCE Vocational Major (VM), or future career opportunities.
Students will participate in information sessions and individual course counselling meetings where they will receive guidance to help them make informed decisions based on their interests, strengths, and future aspirations. Families are encouraged to discuss subject choices at home and support students as they consider the opportunities available to them.
Semester 1 Academic Achievement Assemblies
At the beginning of Semester 2, we proudly recognised the outstanding efforts and achievements of our Year 9 and Year 10 students during our Semester 1 Academic Achievement Assemblies.
Students were acknowledged for their commitment to learning, consistent effort, and strong academic performance throughout Semester 1. These assemblies provided an opportunity to celebrate the hard work, resilience, and dedication demonstrated by so many of our students.
Congratulations to all students who received an Academic Achievement Award. Your commitment to striving for excellence is something to be proud of, and we encourage you to continue building on your success throughout Semester 2.
We also congratulate all Year 9 and Year 10 students for their efforts during Semester 1 and encourage everyone to continue setting high expectations, embracing challenges, and working towards achieving their personal best.
Preparing for CATS
With CATS assessments approaching, now is the perfect time for students to establish effective study routines. Developing strong study habits not only improves academic performance but also builds confidence and reduces stress during assessment periods.
Students are encouraged to:
Consistent effort and effective study habits are key to achieving success. We encourage all students to make the most of the support available and to challenge themselves to achieve their personal best throughout the semester.
We wish all Year 9 and Year 10 students every success with their subject selections and upcoming CATS assessments.
Kind regards,
Rebecca Kotsopoulos
