Co-Curricular

Welcome to 2026!
To the St Patrick’s community, welcome back to a new school year. I hope that the break was full of rest and renewal and that families managed to spend some quality time together.
The co-curricular year continues this Saturday 31 January with Round 7 of the ISA summer sport season. Fixtures are available online and updated since the draft released at the end of Term 4 2025.
Please read the Brisbane Cricket Tour article in Senior Sport this week to catch up on some of the holiday action.
In staffing news, we welcome the addition of Mr Matthew Pearse, Mr Tim Donlan and Mr Brendan Conneely (SPCOB) to the Co-Curricular Team.
Mr. Pearse joins the music department as woodwind tutor. Dr. Taylor is pleased to have an eminently qualified and experienced musician who will undoubtedly prove to be an excellent influence on the program.
Mr. Donlan joins us as the Head of Sport (Secondary), having previously worked at Sydney Grammar School and, most recently, Brigidine College. He brings a wealth of operational experience, having led various sports within the IGSA association and has an extensive background playing, coordinating and coaching within the independent boys’ school environment.
Mr. Conneely arrives back at St Patrick’s as an Old Boy to fill the newly created role of Assistant Head of Football. He is a highly regarded and motivated technical coach who aims to have a positive impact on our coaching staff and - most importantly - our students throughout the various age-groups and grades within the Football program.
Please join me in welcoming our new staff and be sure to catch them on the sidelines or boards.
A warm welcome to all our new boys and families and best of luck in their summer sport trials and first taste of SPC Co-Curricular!
