PE & Sport News – Term 4 at Moriac Primary School!

Term 4 has been full of movement, fun, and fitness at Moriac Primary, with students across the school showing incredible effort and enthusiasm in all areas of PE and sport.

School Fun Run / Colour Run – Wednesday 18 December:

Our biggest event of the year is just around the corner — the Moriac PS School Fun Run / Colour Run! Taking place on Wednesday 18 December, this will be a celebration of fitness, teamwork, and colour! Families are encouraged to come along and cheer as students run, walk, and dance their way through the course.

It’s a major fundraiser for 2025, helping us continue to grow our programs.

If you haven’t already, please sign up and create your child’s fundraising profile this week. Every student who raises $20 or more goes in the draw for prizes, and those who reach $100 will go in the draw to slime a teacher or ES staff member at assembly! The top fundraiser will get to choose who gets slimed on the day.

Foundation–Year 2 Athletics:

Our youngest athletes had an amazing time at the F–2 Athletics Carnival, showing fantastic teamwork, persistence, and sportsmanship throughout the day. It was great to see so many smiling faces as students sprinted, jumped, and threw their way through the events. A big thank you to the parents and carers who came along to cheer — your energy made the day even more special!

Year 1–2 Swimming Week:

Our Year 1–2 students have just completed their swimming program, and it was a huge success! Students developed confidence in the water, improved their stroke technique, and learned important water safety skills. The instructors were incredibly impressed with the progress shown by all participants — and the smiles each morning said it all!

Grade 4 Bike Education –December 4

Coming up next, our Grade 4 students will take part in Bike Ed starting Thursday 4 December. This program builds cycling skills, balance, and road safety awareness to help students become confident and responsible riders. It’s always a highlight of the year — and a perfect fit for our active Moriac community! Please see Compass for more details
