The Arts

Welcome to Term 4. Students have hit the ground running as we begin our final term for the year, and I am excited to see all the students' creative endevours, especially when it comes to our school concert later this term! Read on to see what students are currently up to.

Grades Prep-2

In Dance this term, the Prep-2 students are busy rehearsing for our end of year concert. The Preps a learning a range of songs from the movie 'Lego Movie 2', whilst the grade 1/2s are learning songs from the musical 'Matilda.' In Visual Arts, students are creating a range of artwork based on animals, such as cats, frogs and snails.

Grades 3-6

In Visual Arts, the 3-6 students started the term with an excursion to Reading Cinemas to experience their Media projects from Term 3 up on the big screen. In Dance, students are busy reheasing for the end of year concert. The 3/4 students are rehearsing songs from the movie 'K-Pop Demon Hunters', whilst the 5/6 students are learning songs from the musical 'Wicked'. In Visual Arts, the students are continuing to learn about the seven elements of art, for example, whilst learning about form, they created 3D sculptures out of clay.
