SPORT

What a fantastic Term 3 of sport we have had! Students across all cohorts competed in basketball, table tennis, handball and futsal, representing our school with enthusiasm, teamwork and a positive attitude.

It was wonderful to see students from all year levels getting involved, challenging themselves and demonstrating great sportsmanship, respect and resilience throughout the term. Whether competing on the court or supporting their teammates, our students showed what it means to represent our school with pride.

A special congratulations to our sporting superstars who have progressed through to Regionals. Our Year 7 Girls Basketball team, Year 7 Boys Table Tennis team, Year 7 Boys Futsal team and Year 8 Boys Table Tennis team have all earned their place at the next level of competition.

We are incredibly proud of all our students who competed this term and the way they represented our school. Their commitment, teamwork and sportsmanship have made Term 3 a great success. Well done to everyone involved!

Lyndon Williams Memorial Staff v. Student Match

The second-last day of Term 3 was a very special one at the College as we came together for our annual Lyndon Williams Memorial Soccer Match. This year marked the 10-year anniversary of Lyndon’s passing, making the occasion particularly meaningful, with Lyndon’s parents joining us to remember and celebrate his life. The annual Staff vs Students match brought our College community together in a wonderful atmosphere of connection, camaraderie and school spirit.

It was incredibly special to see Lyndon’s memory continuing to live on within our College in such a positive and meaningful way. What began as a way to honour a much-loved teacher has become a valued annual tradition, allowing new generations of students and staff to learn about and remember Lyndon through something he loved. The enthusiasm, laughter and friendly competition on the field were a beautiful reflection of the lasting impact he had on our community. We are grateful to Lyndon’s family for being part of such a significant day and for sharing in a tradition that ensures his memory and legacy continue to be celebrated year after year.

Badminton Champs 

A huge congratulations to our boys’ badminton team, who put together an outstanding performance to win the Regional Championship and secure their place at the State Finals!

The boys played some fantastic badminton throughout the day, winning the majority of their matches comfortably. Vihaan was a standout performer, going undefeated and winning every match he played🏸

The Regional Final against Westall proved to be their toughest challenge. After dropping a few games, the boys responded brilliantly, rising to the occasion and defeating Westall to be crowned Regional Champions!

Division Athletics 

A huge congratulations to all of our students who represented our school with such pride, determination and sportsmanship last week at the Division Athletics. It was wonderful to see so many students giving their best, supporting one another and enjoying the competition✨🏃🏻‍♀️We had lots of students placing in their events, with many also achieving the exciting opportunity to qualify for Regions Athletics in Term 4!🏅We are incredibly proud of everyone's effort and the way our students represented our school. What a great day all round!Well done everyone, we can’t wait to cheer you on at Regions!!

OZ Tag

What a fantastic day at the OzTag Victorian All Schools Competition! At the start of the week, CESC proudly had six teams representing our school, with an outstanding five teams qualifying for the Grand Final. 

A special congratulations to our Year 7/8 Boys, who played an incredible final to bring home the gold medal! Despite the rain, wind and cold conditions, our students showed outstanding resilience, determination and teamwork throughout the day. 

They pushed through every challenge, supported one another and represented our school with pride. Congratulations to all of our players on a successful day of competition. We are so proud of your effort, sportsmanship and achievements!
