CESC Alumni Community

Term 3 has been an incredibly exciting and busy time for our Alumni community! 

This term, we officially launched the highly anticipated CESC Alumni Podcast. Our student leaders stepped into the recording booth to interview two inspiring past students: Diya Patel (Provisional Psychologist) and Aaryan Akhil (Audio Engineer & Sound Technician). This project gave our student leaders fantastic, hands-on experience developing their interviewing skills right here in our very own campus podcast studio. Legal Studies Session

On July 24th, our Year 12 Legal Studies students stepped into the future.

We welcomed back three incredible past alumni, Kayla Borg, Jasleen Kaur and Sanjay Kandel, for an interactive panel session focused on 'Law' and life after high school. Our speakers shared invaluable, real-world insights on: 

University life – surviving the transition.

Law pathways – different routes to career goals.

Industry experience – volunteering and community work.

Honest reflections – navigating highlights and overcoming challenges.

Our students walked away inspired, engaged, and better prepared for the next chapter of their academic journeys. A massive thank you to our alumni for giving back to the school community and investing in the next generation of legal minds! ⚖️🎓

English Enrichment / Performing Arts Session

On September 4th, we welcomed back 2022 Alum 'Ezri Cranston'. Since graduating, Ezri has carved out an exciting path in the creative arts, moving to Ballarat to pursue a degree in Performing Arts. Her dedication has already landed her lead roles in independent plays and musicals, and she is set to take the stage at the Melbourne Fringe Festival next month. 

Ezri visited our Year 10 English Enrichment class to share fond memories of her time at CESC, insights into life after high school (including moving away from friends & family), her highlights & challenges, and inspiring tales from the world of theatre! Our students (who are currently studying Macbeth) loved hearing from someone who has walked in their shoes, and had an opportunity to ask questions and understand the depth of performance and how it has evolved over time. 

We're cheering you on Ezri, and can't wait to see your dreams come to pass! 

✨ EY Industry Insight session ✨🎓

On Tuesday 15th September, sixteen of our Cranbourne East Secondary College Year 11 Economics students attended an Industry Insight session at EY Consulting in the Melbourne CBD. Hosted through the alumni partnership between Ourschool and CESC, the excursion offered an exceptional opportunity for networking, collaboration, and learning about real-world career pathways in a dynamic and inspiring Global network.A highlight of the day was hearing from CESC alum Malavika Harish who sat on the EY panel. Malavika shared valuable insights into her personal journey since leaving high school, navigating university and industry pathways, and starting her career as a new EY graduate in the Cyber security workforce. We also heard inspiring tales from Financial Service Officers, Recruitment, an Organisational Psychologist, Managers, Auditors, Risk Assessors and more.Students participated in interactive, engaging round-table discussions where they could ask direct questions and map out future career options. We extend a huge thank you to the EY team for hosting CESC alongside seven other Ourschool partner schools, and for their ongoing commitment to building meaningful connections between schools and industry.
