From the Principal 

Term 3 has been full of activities across the school. As we look back on a busy and successful few weeks, here is a summary of the highlights from this term.

The term started with our annual NAIDOC Week celebrations. We hosted a morning tea to come together as a community, reflect, and acknowledge the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We also recognised the vital importance of looking after our mental health and supporting one another. The school highlighted the value of providing a safe environment where both students and staff feel empowered to prioritise their wellbeing and reach out for help whenever needed.

In Week 2, our Subject Expo gave students a hands-on opportunity to investigate their senior school pathways. This was paired with a Pathway Information Evening, allowing students and their families to explore future academic options together. Also taking place in Week 2, our Year 10–12 students and their families participated in dedicated course counselling sessions. These focused discussions allowed students to map out their subject preferences for the coming years, ensuring a clear and confident path toward successfully completing their senior studies.

In Week 3, our music students took to the stage for the annual Mid-Year Music Soiree. Performing to an enthusiastic audience of parents, friends, and community members, our musicians put on a wonderful show that was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone in attendance. Week 6 saw our annual school production come to life. The cast and crew put on a fantastic run of The Little Mermaid, performing special shows for local primary schools alongside two evening performances and a matinee. It was incredible to see the confidence of our students on stage as they entertained hundreds of show-goers. Well done to everyone involved! Our Year 11 students also celebrated their formal this term. It was a spectacular night, and a fantastic time was had by all of the students and staff who attended.

As our college takes a well-deserved break before heading into the final stretch of the year, I urge all students to take some time to rest, recharge, and reset both their minds and bodies. Term 4 is traditionally very intense and fast-paced, and we want everyone returning feeling refreshed and ready to finish the year strong.
