A Spotlight on Springvale
It has been a busy and exciting couple of weeks at Springvale Campus! Our students have been out and about on some fantastic excursions that brought classroom learning to life. The MLC students enjoyed an engaging visit to Twisted Science, where they explored hands-on experiments and interactive exhibits that sparked curiosity and creativity. Meanwhile, the FLC students had a wonderful day at Chesterfield Farm, learning about animals, farming life and the world around them through real-life experiences. Both excursions were filled with learning, laughter and plenty of memorable moments.
Our Foundation 2026 Transition Program is also well underway, with sessions running each Friday throughout November. We have already enjoyed two wonderful mornings welcoming our newest learners into the school community. It has been fantastic meeting new Springvale Rise families and seeing the children grow in confidence as they become familiar with their teachers, classrooms and new friends. These sessions help ensure a smooth and positive start to school life next year and we look forward to continuing this journey over the coming weeks.
Last week, our staff took part in Assessment and Report Writing Day. This valuable time allowed teachers to carefully review student progress, analyse assessment data and prepare end-of-year reports. These reports provide a comprehensive overview of each student’s achievements, growth and learning throughout the year.
On Friday 14th November, we conducted an Emergency Offsite Evacuation Drill as part of our regular safety procedures. During this drill, students and staff practised safely evacuating to our designated offsite location - Springvale Town Hall. This is an important part of ensuring that everyone knows what to do in the unlikely event of a real emergency and our students handled the drill calmly and responsibly.
As we move into the second part of Term 4, there’s a real sense of excitement across the campus. We’re looking forward to celebrating a wonderful year of learning and with our upcoming end-of-year events and activities.
