Gippsland Badminton

The Intermediate boys and girls, Year 7 boys and Year 8 girls teams played last week at the Morwell Leisure Centre. All teams trained at lunchtimes in preparation for the competition, and this became obvious with our skills looking very sharp on the day. With so many games being tight tussles, it was great to see our students winning quite a few games during the round robin of games. The Year 7 boys and Year 8 girls both came away runners up by narrow margins, and the Intermediate teams came in 3rd to finish strongly. It was encouraging to see the students helping score one another’s games and practicing in their spare time, a real team effort. 

Sale Clay Target Competition

Held at the Sale Field & Game, just out of Longford, students competed in the 20-target competition testing accuracy, reflexes and nerves. Up against 22 other teams and schools from as far away as Melbourne, our team were enjoying the opportunity to challenge themselves. We finished the day out of the placings but flourished in the challenge. Well done team BSC.
