Sacrament of Reconciliation  

Next Friday, September 11th, some Year 3 students will receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. This sacrament of healing is about forgiveness and reconciliation. God is a merciful God and showing mercy is a strength of character, not a weakness. It will be a special ceremony as Father Junjun welcomes the children and families to the sacramental celebration. We offer this prayer for them and for our school community. 

Prayer for Reconciliation Candidates 

Loving God, as our students prepare to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation, we thank you for your unconditional love and mercy. Help them to approach this sacrament with open hearts, truly sorry for their mistakes, and eager to grow in your grace. Guide them to be instruments of peace and forgiveness within our school and community.  

Amen. 

Let us keep our students in our thoughts and prayers as they take this significant step in their faith journey next week.

Mercy Award 

Our current Mercy Award is for the quality of ‘Hospitality’.  

Sr Mary Austin was a Sister of Mercy and a very special person to the school community here at St Joseph's. She was someone who was very hospitable, she was friendly and always welcoming others into our church and her home. 

This award will be presented next Friday, September 11th, during assembly.
