Nude Food Wednesday's

We are excited to welcome back Nude Food Wednesday at Cheltenham Primary School!

Every Wednesday, students are encouraged to bring a “nude food” lunchbox by choosing foods with no single-use packaging. This might include fresh fruit and vegetables, sandwiches, crackers, cheese or other snacks placed directly into reusable containers.

Recently, we have noticed an increase in rubbish around our school grounds, particularly after eating times. It is important that we all take responsibility for looking after our school and keeping our environment clean. Our school grounds are also visited by many birds and other wildlife, so it is especially important that we dispose of our rubbish thoughtfully and do not leave food or packaging behind.

Did you know that Australia produces approximately 2.7 to 2.8 million tonnes of plastic waste each year, with a significant amount ending up in landfill or contributing to pollution? Even small changes can make a big difference!

House Points

To make Nude Food Wednesday even more exciting, students will be awarded House Points for participating each Wednesday. Every small change makes a difference, so we encourage all students to get involved, show their House spirit and help keep our school clean!
