'Bullying No Way!' Week

From the 17th - 21st August our school community came together to celebrate 'Bullying No Way' Week and show that we all have a role to play in creating a safe, inclusive and respectful school.

Throughout the week, students took part in a range of activities focused on kindness, friendship, inclusion and standing up against bullying. We celebrated individuality with Crazy Socks Day, with students wearing bright, colourful, patterned and mismatched socks to remind us that being different is something to celebrate.

Students also spread messages of kindness in chalk, filling our playground with positive and encouraging words for others to see. At lunch, a short film based on The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse was played for students, which encouraged students to think about kindness, friendship, courage and supporting one another.

We finished the week by wearing a pop of purple, the colour associated with 'Bullying No Way', to show that we stand together against bullying.

It has been wonderful to see our students embracing the message that small acts of kindness can make a big difference. We encourage our whole school community to continue looking out for one another, including others and speaking up when something isn't right.
