Dear CPS Parents and Caregivers,

At PTFA's recent AGM meeting, no new volunteers came forward for our two key leadership roles:

We understand that parents and caregivers are busy, and taking on a leadership role may feel overwhelming. However, you do not need to do everything yourself or commit endless hours. These roles can be shared, tasks can be delegated, and there is support available from other volunteers and the school.

Why does this matter?

The PTFA plays an important role in our school community. Through events such as Trivia Nights, Colour Runs, Discos, BBQs, raffles, stalls and family gatherings, the PTFA has raised approximately $17,000 so far this year, close to $50,000 last year, and approximately $40,000 the year before.

These funds help support school events, sports equipment, art projects, books and resources, kitchen equipment, facilities and other projects that benefit our children.

Without new leadership, the PTFA cannot continue in its current form. This could mean fewer community events, fewer memorable experiences for our students, and less funding available for important school projects.

We need your help now

The current PTFA has not planned any activities for Term 4, as new leadership is needed to move forward. If we are to hold events next term, planning needs to begin soon.

We are asking parents and caregivers to please consider volunteering for the President or Vice President role by the end of Term 3.

If you have ever thought, “I could help, but I can't do it all,” please know—you don't have to. We simply need a few people willing to step forward and work together to keep this valuable part of the CPS community going.
