English

In English this term, we began with a novel study of The Wild Robot, where students had the opportunity to use their creativity to design and draw their own version of a “wild robot.” This was a fantastic way to engage their imagination before transitioning into our current unit on the life cycles of animals. We kicked off this learning with an engaging incursion, which sparked lots of curiosity and excitement. Since then, students have been exploring different animal groups and how their life cycles vary, building their understanding through discussions, reading, and classroom activities.

Harmony Day

This term, our class celebrated Harmony Day by exploring and sharing our different nationalities and cultures. Students enjoyed discussing their backgrounds and learning about the unique traditions that make each of us special. To celebrate our diversity, each student created a flag representing their heritage, which are now proudly displayed around our classroom. It has been a wonderful way to recognise and appreciate the rich cultural diversity within our class.

Religion

In Religion this week, we have been focusing on Holy Week and preparing for our Level presentation. Students took part in engaging rotations, where the Year 3/4 classes were mixed together to learn about each important day of Holy Week. Through a variety of activities, they explored the significance of these events and deepened their understanding, while also working collaboratively across classes.
