Principal Post

Dear Families,
We conclude Term 1 tomorrow at 1pm.
Thank you - for Term 1
It's amazing to think that we have come to the end of our first term here at St John Vianney's for 2026. I thank everyone; students, staff parents/ carers for the efforts and contributions across the term.
Congratulations in particular to our Foundation students and all families who began with us for the first time this year. We hope that you are feeling at home at SJV and beginning to find great connections with others within our community. Certainly, our Foundation students have settled well!
To our senior students who are our student captains and leaders you have set the scene so well this past term. Your great leadership is well noticed and appreciated. We could not be more proud of your efforts across these past ten weeks!
To our teachers and staff particularly those who are new to our school this year - thank you for your professionalism, care and expertise; well done on a super effort across a busy term!
All students have across the term, been immersed in a range of purposeful learning activities and have progressed in their understandings and skills. It is important that over the Easter break, students can relax and enjoy their holiday break. Continuing to practise Literacy and Numeracy skills across the holidays can be helpful. Of course reading for enjoyment is always important and something we want to instill within our children.
We look forward to partnering with you and embracing all that our second term places before us!
Happy Easter
May the joy of the Resurrection of Jesus this Easter be with each of us. May we live the Good News bringing hope, compassion and love to our families and all who need our care. May we keep safe as we enjoy some special time with family and friends.
