HOLY WEEK

Holy Thursday, 2nd  APRIL 2026   – Easter Sunday, 5th APRIL 2026

THURSDAY – 2 April:                    HOLY THURSDAY – NO MORNING MASS.

Mass at 7.00pm followed by Procession to the Altar of Repose, and adoration at the Altar of Repose until 9.00pm.

Confession until 9.00pm.

FRIDAY – 3 April:                           GOOD FRIDAY (a day of fast and abstinence)

                                                            9.30am – MORNING PRAYER

10.00am – STATIONS OF THE CROSS, followed by Confession until 12 noon.

3.00pm – GOOD FRIDAY SERVICEfollowed by Confessions until 5.00pm. A collection will be taken up for the Holy Places in the Holy Land.

SATURDAY – 4 April:                     HOLY SATURDAY – NO MORNING MASS.

9.00am – MORNING PRAYER (including the RCIA candidates).

6.30pm – EASTER VIGIL CEREMONIES AND MASS.

A cuppa will be held in the foyer to welcome the newly baptised Catholics.

SUNDAY – 5 April:              Masses at 8.30am & 10.00am

NO EVENING MASS ON EASTER SUNDAY

1. SACRAMENTAL PROGRAM -SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION

Information Session: Tuesday 12 May at 10am or 7pm.

You must attend one of the information sessions where an enrolment form will be given and other dates advised.

Sacrament of Confirmation : Sunday 8 August at 1pm

2. NO UNAUTHORISED CAR PARKING OUTSIDE PARISH OFFICE

Please remind all parents and carers of SJV school children to refrain from parking cars in the space reserved for the Parish Priest and Parish staff only, for school drop off or pick up.

This is to ensure the safety of all pedestrians.

3. CAR PARKING OVER HOLY WEEK  AND THE EASTER WEEKEND 

The oval and the basketball court will be OPEN for parking (weather permitting) on Holy Thursday night, Good Friday, Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday morning.

 PS: The basketball court will be reserved for Bingo players on Holy Thursday night.
