Rotary Seminar - Female Youth issues

My name is Netta Ferlazzo and as a member of the Werribee Rotary Club, prior to retiring I had a career in education and I am contacting our local Secondary Schools/Colleges to informed them of the event and gain support from Principals to encourage students and teachers, our audience is targeted at female students 16 to 18 years old and extending an invitation to them, their parents and teachers to attend a seminar in relation to female youth issues:

Date:  Thursday 12 September 2024

Time: 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm

Venue: Mary MacKillop College

RSVP:  1st September 2024

We anticipate having 2 to 3 Guest Speakers talk on female youth issues, our guest speakers will have some sporting involvement and, in the past, we have been fortunate to have had a Mental Health expert, a representative from Beyondblue, a college student and teacher.  Of course, if any suitable speaker can be recommended by a school we would be pleased to follow up.  There will be time to address specific questions from the audience and a light supper will be supplied.

Rotary are interested in being involved with a school further in the coming year and allowing us to have this event available at different educational venues, we would be happy to discuss options that the schools may want to see e.g. during school hours and having others attend from other local schools.
