Student Voice &

Positive Environment

My how our Student Representative Council members have grown throughout the year, and we are only at the end of term 2. With what started as a group where many did not know each other, they are now a cohesive group with student feedback and improvement at the forefront. Our year 12 leaders are to be commended in the way that they have set up the SRC meetings this year, and encouraged distributed leadership, supported and built the capacity of the students from each year level to take turns running the SRC meetings. It has been so successful that for our first meeting next term, the year 7’s will be running the meeting.

As we are in a review year, our SRC has spent some time reviewing and providing feedback on many of our current school policies for consideration. This is important work to ensure there is true student voice in everything our college does. They will continue to be consulted on their thoughts as we continue to reimagine our college for 2025.

Our SRC is busily planning our annual Multicultural Week celebrations, to be held from Monday 29th July to Friday 2nd August. This is one of the most exciting weeks of the year, as the college gathers to proudly display their heritage, and celebrate through song, dance and many other activities.
