'HAWK’ Award

Congratulations to Xavier Skurrie who was awarded our most recent Hawk award for consistently exemplifying the college values of care, character, collaboration and commitment! Xavier has achieved 100% attendance in Term 2, outstanding academic results and involves himself in many extra curricular activities. Known as ‘Scuz’ to his mates, hes a great friend and is always willing to help others when the opportunity arises. Well done Xavier!

Values Awards

At each Year 8 Assembly we recognise students who have received the most college values awards over the previous fortnight. Each student receives a $5.00 canteen voucher to treat themselves for their efforts. This fortnight we congratulate Samantha Bennett, Steph McCallum and Tommy Combe. Well done on your outstanding Care, Character, Collaboration and Commitment.!

SRC Badge Presentation

The Year 8 Team also had the pleasure of presenting the Year 9 Student representative Coincil members with their badges. We look forward to working with Year 8 SRC representatives  Sam Creasey, Amelia Altmann, Ruby Hill, Matilda Hardy, Chassidy Loresco, Minha Rahman, Xavier Skurrie and Raven Pywell. Year 8 students are encouraged to seek out their SRC reps and speak to them about ways we can improve student experiences ate Horsham College. 

Year 8 Camp - Expressions of Interest

We are excited to announce the details of our Year 8 Camp which will be held in Term Four from Wednesday 5th November to Friday 7th November. Set amongst the natural dune scape of the coastal town of Queenscliff, Camp Wyuna has direct access to Port Phillip Bay. It provides an opportunity for students to experience a range of water and land-based activities aimed at fostering teamwork, personal growth, and a deeper connection with nature. 

Deposits to secure your child’s spot on camp can now be made via QKR. More information will be sent to families via SEQTA direct message, and students will also bring home a letter with further details. Please keep an eye out for both.

Uniform Reminders

Students are reminded they are expected to wear the full Horsham College school uniform to school.

• No puffer jackets allowed (other than HC one)

• Pants and shorts need to be at an appropriate length and need to have gold ‘HC’ on them.

• Shoes must be all black!

• No hoodies! Instead you may wear long sleeve tops underneath your HC polos. These must be either white or navy.

• Socks are also to be either black, white or navy.
