Whitehorse Family Network
We have been so busy this year as we delivered many exciting events to our community. We would like to thank the following WFN leads who have made our events possible, contributing many ideas along with hours behind the scenes:
Freezer Angels- Alex Hauserman & Sarah Rorison
Welcome BBQ- Alex Hauserman
Special Fried Rice Lunch Day- Monica Sheo, Ev Mar & Jackie Dong
Hot Cross Bun BBQ & Easter Raffle- Sarah Hubbard
Mothers & Fathers Day Stalls- Lene Marx & Melanie Wood
Sushi Day- Wendy Ng
Pie Drive- Sharlene Stokes & Melanie Wood
Hot Dog Day- Tiana Savic
As well as the Winter Solstice, Canteen & Icypole Days, Specialist Expo support and general parent help provided across the school year. A very special thanks to all of our school community volunteers who step up to help across these events, from parents to older siblings and grandparents, this is what makes us a network. We would also like to thank those who have donated items towards our events, your support is felt in many different ways.
We are making more of our events sustainable, stepping away from single use plastics, such as our hot chocolate on PJ day, served in our Kitchen mugs which were happily returned throughout lunchtime.
Fundraising
Following the success of our 2025 Gaga pit and Junior Basketball Hoop we have made good progress towards our 2026 goals. Working closely with the JSC and Specialists this year we are excited to be working towards another set of football goals, soccer nets, and bike shed awnings. We are excited to see our contributions towards the science tables through the specialist expo, and were also thrilled to help our Grade 6 students along with their graduation celebrations.
