What's On In PE

PHYSICAL EDUCATION
We’ve got a fun-filled Term 4 ahead in PE!
Over the first two weeks back at school the classes have been competing in the ‘Fastest Class Challenge’ which will see which class can complete the most laps of the basketball court in five minutes. All the classes pushed themselves this week to build their running endurance and stamina. It was very impressive to see the classes come together, give it their all and encourage each other. A huge congratulations to 5/6C who had the highest average of 12 laps per person!
Across all year levels, we’ll also spend several weeks exploring basketball, building age-appropriate skills and putting them into practice through mini games.
We’ll also visit Nunawading Tennis Club, where students can practise racquet control, forehand and backhand shots and rallying. There’s plenty to look forward to!
To finish the year, students will get creative by designing their own fair and inclusive mini games or playing games designed by older students.
Our junior school students are beginning to get excited for their upcoming Junior School Sports Carnival which will be held on the 15th of December. We hope lots of families will come and cheer the students on!
