Master Plan News!

As you will be aware, as part of the Merri-Bek North Education Plan, we have been given a grant to start the Master Planning of what Glenroy College will look like in 10 years. This is an exciting development, which will hopefully give our students and staff the facilities they deserve into the next decade!
Creating a new school master plan with the Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) follows several steps. First, the school looks at its current buildings and future needs, getting input from staff, students, and the community. A study is then done to see what’s possible, and a plan is made, setting priorities, costs, and timelines. The VSBA reviews and approves it, allowing the school to apply for funding. The project is then carried out, with regular checks to keep things on track.
This week we had our Architects visit the school to run focus groups with students and staff on the school environment and what is in their wish list.
It was an exciting next step, but the real work starts next - ensuring we get funding for the next steps, and this will only happen if our local members get pressure from our community. Below are the contact details of people who would be worth reaching out to, so let's work together to make it happen!
