Senior School News
What's happening in Years 10, 11 and 12.
The new school year is well underway, and our students have hit the ground running, demonstrating our school values of achievement, integrity, respect, and teamwork in everything they do.
Across the Senior Sub-school, students have shown dedication to their learning by working hard in the classroom, striving for their best, and setting a strong foundation for success. It has been fantastic to see students embracing challenges, asking thoughtful questions, and engaging in meaningful discussions as they push themselves towards their academic goals.
Our students have also taken pride in wearing their uniform correctly, demonstrating integrity and respect for both themselves and the school community. Their presentation reflects a strong sense of belonging and commitment to upholding the values we all share. The level of responsibility shown by our students sets a great example for younger year levels and contributes to the positive school environment we are all building together.
Leadership has been on full display, with students stepping up to support their peers, assisting new students in settling in, and taking initiative in both the classroom and extracurricular activities. It is inspiring to see so many students leading by example and fostering a school culture of encouragement and teamwork.
One of the highlights of the start of the year was the Year 12 team-building excursion, which took students into the CBD for an Amazing Race-style adventure. In teams, students raced around the city, solving challenges, completing activities, and putting their problem-solving and teamwork skills to the test. The energy was high, and the competition was fierce, but in the end, it was Ms Gangi’s team who took out first place!
Congratulations to all participants for their enthusiasm and effort—it was a fantastic way to kick off the final year of high school with teamwork, resilience, and a spirit of fun. As we continue through the term, we encourage all students to keep up the positive momentum and remain committed to their goals. With hard work, integrity, and a supportive school community, this year is set to be one of achievement and success.
Let’s make it a great year together!
