Parent Breakfast
The Glenroy College Parent Breakfast is a great chance for families to connect with teachers and the school community. Parents and guardians can enjoy a tasty breakfast while getting to know staff, asking questions, and learning more about school programs. This event helps build a strong relationship between home and school, making it easier to share ideas and support students. It’s also a friendly way for families to give feedback and meet school leaders. Glenroy College wants everyone to feel welcome and involved in their child’s learning journey.
Visit by local politicians
Anasina Gray-Barberio (Greens Member for Northern Metropolitan in the Victorian Legislative Council) and Samantha Ratnam (Greens Candidate for Wills) visited Glenroy College to talk with student leaders about leadership and making a difference. They shared their experiences in politics and advocacy, encouraging students to speak up and create change. The discussion covered topics like youth leadership, social issues, and how young people can help their community. Students asked questions, shared ideas, and learned valuable lessons about teamwork and leadership. This visit inspired them to be active citizens and work towards a better future, showing them that their voices and actions can make a real impact.
Islamic Relief Iftar Dinner
Members of the college leadership were invited to join our partners at Islamic Relief for their annual Melbourne Iftar Dinner. Hosted by Islamic Relief, the evening included a delicious meal, inspiring speeches, and discussions on the importance of charity and community support. Guests from diverse backgrounds gathered to reflect on the values of generosity, compassion, and unity. The event also raises funds for important humanitarian projects, helping those in need worldwide, and was a wonderful opportunity for connection, learning, and giving back, reinforcing the spirit of Ramadan and the power of coming together for a good cause.
