Community Sports Coach Development – Coaching Lab (2026)
On Tuesday 10 February, our volunteer community sport coaches attended an engaging 90‑minute, face‑to‑face workshop with Jack Rolfe from The Coaching Lab. The session was packed with fresh, practical coaching tools, everything from adaptive skill‑building strategies to clever ways of engaging players without long explanations. Coaches also explored how small‑sided games can effectively teach team fundamentals, keeping learning fast‑paced, fun and meaningful.
This initiative is all about supporting our incredible community sport coaches by giving back, offering easy access to quality resources, new ideas and a space to grow their coaching confidence.
Our next session is on Monday 3 March, 5.00pm to 6. 30pm in the Indoor Sports Centre. If you’re keen to join, please complete THIS FORM to register. We’d love to see you there!

These sessions will introduce young players to the game of soccer by helping them develop essential motor skills, coordination and confidence in a safe and non-competitive environment. In addition to teaching the fundamentals of the game, the clinics promote teamwork, social interaction and physical wellbeing. By providing kids with a strong foundation in their early years, we aim to foster a lifelong love of the game.
