Tech Trek

Our Junior School students are diving into a world of creativity, collaboration and problem‑solving during Tech Trek this week as they use their devices across the curriculum from digital storytelling and interactive research to coding, design and multimedia projects.

Tech Trek is a celebration of digital learning where students experiment, create and build confidence using tech in healthy, balanced and purposeful ways.

Year 5 students heard from our Graphic Designer, Sean McKay, about all things design before using their new knowledge to create their own logos. They also dived into a series of hands-on workshops designed to build confidence and capability in the digital world. Students explored key skills such as digital safety and device care, while also learning how to navigate technology responsibly and thoughtfully. They then collaborated in class groups to complete their ‘Digital Passports,’ deepening their understanding of device care and fostering positive digital citizenship practices.

Blending creativity, design and tech, the program encourages students to experiment, problem-solve and think imaginatively — not just as consumers of technology, but as creators.
