Principal's Message

Our new school year has begun with great energy and enthusiasm. It has been a genuine pleasure to begin meeting students, staff, parents and friends and I am deeply grateful for the warmth and generosity that have been extended to me and my family. I am honoured to have been appointed Principal of this wonderful school, and feel both proud and hopeful as I begin this journey with the All Saints’ College community.
I am not the only new member of our community in 2026. We warmly welcome more than 180 new students and their families, along with 15 new staff members, to All Saints’ College (further details inside this edition). Each new person brings with them unique gifts, stories and perspectives, and we are enriched by their presence. I trust that their experience so far has been a positive one and that they already feel a strong sense of belonging within our community.
In the weeks and months ahead, my priority is to listen and to learn — to understand what makes All Saints’ College such a special community and to build on the strong foundations already in place. I look forward to meeting with staff, students, parents and community members, hearing their stories, hopes and aspirations for the future. I have already been deeply impressed by the warmth, kindness and inclusivity of our students and by the professionalism, care and commitment of our staff, who place students at the heart of all they do. It is clear why All Saints’ College is held in such high regard across Perth and beyond.
Sense of Community
At its heart, a school is a community built on relationships, trust and shared purpose. The partnership between school and home is central to the growth, wellbeing and learning of our students. All Saints’ College places great value on these connections. I have enjoyed meeting members of our Parents and Friends’ Association (P&F) and the Old Saints so far this year, and I encourage all families to engage with the life of the College in whatever ways they are able. When we work together in genuine partnership, our students are best supported to flourish.
Pasar Malam Twilight Markets
I am very much looking forward to our first major community event of the year. I have heard many wonderful things about Pasar Malam Twilight Markets, and am excited to experience this much-loved tradition that brings together students, staff, families and our local community in a spirit of joy and celebration. I hope you are able to join us next Friday evening for what promises to be a wonderful occasion of connection, music and shared enjoyment.
Finally, I look forward to meeting you personally over the course of the year. If you see me around the College or in the local community, please do come and say hello — I would very much welcome the opportunity to connect. The first of our series of “Coffee with the Principal” events is on Wednesday 11 March and will continue on different days for the remainder of Term 1.
I wish everyone all the best for a fulfilling and rewarding year in 2026.
All the best
Nick Jones
Principal
