Opening school Mass

Congratulations to our Year 6 leaders and all our students for participating so beautifully at our Opening School Mass. It was so lovely to see our yr 6 students setting a great example to our new Preps. We appreciate everyone who attended and Fr Junjun and Fr Michael for leading our celebration. Special thanks also to Mrs Trish Cummins for being our sacristan.

Mercy Values

As you would be aware we are focusing on a Mercy Value each week to help our students to be the best they can be. As we meditated this morning we focused on the value of Hospitality and the importance of making people feel welcome by using their name when we speak to them. A great lesson for all of us.

The Big Water Walk

Holy Thursday 2/4 we will finish the end of term with a Holy Week liturgy and a fundraiser for Caritas called the Big Water Walk. This will involve the students walking around our school grounds carrying buckets of water to raise money for Caritas. All families are invited to join us so put it in your diary. More information will be sent next week.

Confirmation/ First Eucharist

Our ceremony/ies will be held the weekend of the 31/5-1/6. If your child made their Reconciliation last year you will receive an email early next week with an enrolment form and important dates. If you are new to Sacred Heart, please let me know if your child is eligible to make the sacraments either via my email  mmcinness001@shyarrawonga.catholic.edu.au or by phone the school.
