DANIEL QUILL
We are incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of TGSHS alumnus Daniel Quill.
Daniel has been awarded the prestigious Ramsay Postgraduate Scholarship, joining just 27 exceptional young Australians selected for this highly competitive program.
The scholarship supports Australia's future leaders to undertake postgraduate study at some of the world's leading universities, with funding of up to AUD $100,000 per year.
A distinguished scholar of political and economic thought, Daniel graduated from The University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics (First Class Honours) and was awarded the University Medal. His honours thesis explored the history of monetary policy and its influence on the modern European political landscape.
Alongside his academic pursuits, Daniel has also studied German and first-century Greek.
Through the Ramsay Postgraduate Scholarship, Daniel will undertake an MPhil in International Relations at the University of Oxford, where he will research the development of modern international society and the role of monetary sovereignty in shaping relationships between nation-states.
Daniel aspires to a career in academia, exploring how historical ideas continue to influence contemporary political challenges. He also hopes to foster greater civic engagement and meaningful public dialogue, both in Australia and around the world.
Congratulations, Daniel, on this remarkable achievement. Your dedication to learning and pursuit of excellence continue to inspire our school community.
We wish you every success as you embark on this exciting next chapter.
