Ecocore & Poetry Paradise - Words to the Ocean Workshop

Hey SCHS!!

Over the course of Week 8, Ecocore and Poetry Paradise teamed up to host an incredible week-long workshop in the library! In honor of World Oceans Day on June 8th, students came together to collaborate and craft beautiful poetry dedicated to our seas.

World Oceans Day is all about raising awareness for the vital role the ocean plays in sustaining life and protecting our planet. Our talented student writers took that inspiration and ran with it—the creativity on display was absolutely unmatched! We saw everything from beautiful traditional style poems to visually stunning shape poems, proving there is no single way to express our love for the oceans that help sustain us. 

A massive thank you to everyone who dropped by, channeled their inner poet, and supported this green initiative. Check out some of the amazing masterpieces created by your peers below!
