On Friday the 15th of May Gisborne Secondary College celebrated IDAHOBIT day, (International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, intersex discrimination and Transphobia). 

Recognised globally, this important day is about celebrating diversity, promoting inclusion, and standing up against discrimination towards LGBTQIA+ people.

At Gisborne Secondary College we are proud to uphold the values of Respect, Innovation, Achievement, and Diversity.  IDAHOBIT Day reminds us how essential these values are in creating a school environment where everyone feels safe, supported, and free to be themselves.

On Monday the 18th of May a group of students represented Gisborne Secondary College at the Flag raising Ceremony at Kyneton Mechanics Institute. This marked the third year in a row that Gisborne Secondary College has been represented at this event.
