Paddock to Plate

Our Paddock to Plate students have focused this term on giving back to our school community through a range of meaningful catering experiences. Paddock to Plate is an inclusion-run intervention program designed to provide additional social, emotional, and wellbeing support for students while building confidence, teamwork, and practical life skills.
Students first took on the exciting task of catering for our Grade 5 and 6 Prospective Parents Night, baking over 300 sugar cookies for the event. The cookies were then decorated by our visiting prospective students, creating a fun and interactive activity for the evening. (We would also like to apologise in advance for any late-night sugar rushes that may have followed! 🍪✨)
Students then turned their attention to catering for our Education Support Staff Appreciation Day. Our Year 7 Paddock to Plate students prepared delicious homemade apple pies, while our Year 8 and 9 students created savoury sausage rolls for a special catered morning tea held on Friday 15th May.
The morning tea was a wonderful opportunity for students to show gratitude and appreciation for the incredible work of our Education Support staff. Alongside the food, students also created a heartfelt video message thanking staff for their ongoing care, dedication, and support throughout the school community.
We are incredibly proud of the care, teamwork, and generosity our Paddock to Plate students have demonstrated this term. Their efforts brought plenty of smiles, full stomachs, and a strong sense of community spirit.
