Over the past two weeks, we have had a number of special guests come and talk to us about how they help the community.
Mr Brett (Ella's dad) was our very first guest speaker. He spoke about his role in the Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller, and how he makes sure that it is safe for the planes to take off and land. He also shared with us about his role as a volunteer Firefighter. We got to see the special clothing and helmet that is worn when fighting fires and learnt about how firefighters help people in other situations, not just fires!

Our second guest, was our local Crossing Supervisor, Ms Roberta. She taught us about road safety, particularly, how to safely cross the road and shared with us her stories of being a crossing supervisor. She showed us her uniform, the crossing flags, the stop sign and also her whistle. We learnt that it is important to stop at the yellow line, and wait until you hear the whistle before walking across the road.

Our next guest was Leading Senior Constable James, from Somerville Police Station. He taught us all about what Police do, how they keep our community safe and what to do if you are in trouble and need help. He showed us his special equipment, including his police car with the lights and sirens on, he even let the children sit in the police car!

Our final guests, Jordan, Patrice and Anna, joined us from Ventura Bus Company, who provide all the local buses around Frankston. The children learned how bus drivers help all people access public transport, including those who may need assistance getting on and off the bus. They also learnt how to use a Myki and travel safely when riding on a bus.

Thank you to all the wonderful mums, and special guests who joined us for our Mother’s Day celebrations. It was a joy to see so many families spending time together, sharing smiles, and creating memories with the children.
We hope you had a beautiful morning and felt appreciated for the love, care, and strength you bring to your children every day. Thank you for all that you do each and every day.
