Bumper Camp Rumbug Edition!

Our Grade 5/6 students enjoyed an unforgettable experience last week at Camp Rumbug, filled with challenge, teamwork, laughter, and plenty of mud! Throughout the camp, students took part in a wide range of activities including the flying fox, zipline, mud run, catapult building, archery, aero ball, team building challenges, and a movie night. It was wonderful to see students step outside their comfort zones, encourage one another, and create lasting memories together. As a teacher, I was so proud to see my fabulous students shine. Here are some of their highlights, and a whole lot of pictures!

Aaron - My favourite part of camp was the flying fox, because I faced my fears walking to the edge of the wooden platform, and I felt scared and excited at the same time.

Harley - My favourite part of camp was the mud run because it gave me a combination of my favourite three things: running, getting wet, and getting muddy.

Raya - My favourite activity at camp was most definitely the mud run. Mostly because I don't think I'll ever get to play in mud again, well at least not with a full-on obstacle course!

William - My favourite thing about Camp Rumbug was the Mud Run because I got to swim jump, and roll around in a LOT of mud with my friends!

Sapfo - My favourite part of Camp Rumbug was the giant swing because I enjoyed when we had to pull each other up and I also loved the view of the camp when we went up.

Abel - My favourite memory of camp was the giant swing, because I got to go all the way up and it was scary when I had to pull the string.

Dwayne - My favourite thing at camp was the canoeing because ours tilted and I fell in the water!

Xaivier - My favourite activity was canoeing because moving something in water is cool (I love cool!).

Everard - My favourite part of camp was the canoeing because I was with my friends Dwayne & Malakai, and we got to have a swim!

Joanah - My favourite part about camp was when me and Kaley went canoeing and there was a game where Peter threw ducks into the water. I got very competitive wanting to get all the ducks, so I grabbed one and I nearly flipped over the boat, but thanks to Kaley's great canoeing skill she flipped it back up before we went into the water!

Ema - My favourite part of camp was all of it because there was so many unique and fun activities. It wasn't just the activities though, I also enjoyed the food (which was absolutely scrumptious!) and hanging out with my friends.

Sam - My favourite part of camp was hanging out with my friends when eating, watching the movie, doing the activities (especially the Mud Run) and hanging out in the cabins.

Helna - My favourite parts of camp were night times, showering, and the Passport to the World activity. I loved night time because that was when I got to chat to my friends and have a giggle. I loved showering because after the Mud Run everyone was icky and dirty, and stepping into the shower afterwards felt like heaven. I also enjoyed Passport to the World because it was fun running around in the rain with my friends and locating the countries in a rush.
