LAF Shines in Term 2
LAF has had a fantastic Term 2! From gracing the stage to dribbling their way to victory, our students have enjoyed some incredible opportunities and achieved some outstanding results.
NSW Boccia Success
Congratulations to our Boccia team for placing 2nd in the NSW Boccia Western Division Championships. Led by Joshua Kim and coordinated by Ms Ford, the team demonstrated outstanding skill, teamwork and determination. Well done to everyone involved!
A Visit from the Taloodles
Our students were delighted to welcome the Taloodles Therapy Dogs to school. These visits are always a highlight, bringing smiles, comfort and plenty of joy. A special thank you to Claire O'Hearn (Year 7), who particularly enjoyed spending time with our furry visitors.
Mary Poppins Takes Centre Stage
Students had an unforgettable experience performing in the Statewide Musical – Mary Poppins at Nepean Performing Arts School. Led by Dona Dass, with Lachlan Wood bringing amazing energy to the production and senior mentor Holley Tompkin assisting with hair and make-up, the students truly shone on stage. They are already looking forward to the next production in 2027!
Creativity in Full Colour
HPGE Creative Domain student Daniel Qi has been thoroughly enjoying his time at the Art Academy, supported by the wonderful Ms Freeman. With a genuine passion for visual arts, Daniel has embraced the opportunity to extend his skills and create more student-led artwork.
Learning Life Skills in the Kitchen
Our senior students have been busy developing their cooking skills, with Lachlan Wood, Rohan Sareen and Holley Tompkin preparing a delicious homemade potato bake. It was a fantastic opportunity to build confidence and independence while creating something tasty.
Basketball Champions
Congratulations to our LAF basketball team on their division win at the NSW Basketball Disability Championships held at The Hills Sports Centre. Led by Rebekkah Horvath, with top scorer Rohan Sareen, the team displayed fantastic sportsmanship, teamwork and determination. The day finished with a well-deserved team cheer to celebrate their success. Congratulations to Lachlan Wood, Lachlan Howley, Yasmeen Moore, Rhizen Cooke, Joshua Kim, Hizqeel Butt and Jesse Kemble on a fantastic achievement!
