Y1: Scienceworks Excursion

On Wednesday, 3rd September, our Year 1 students went on an exciting excursion to the Scienceworks Museum. The day was filled with learning, fun, and plenty of “wow” moments.
The children began by exploring the many interactive exhibits, where they could touch, build, and experiment. They were curious and enthusiastic, asking questions and sharing discoveries with their friends.
One of the highlights was the Lightning Show, where the students watched huge sparks of electricity and learnt about how lightning works. Everyone was amazed by the power and noise of the display! Another highlight was the visit to the Planetarium, where the students lay back and watched Tycho Goes to the Moon. The big dome screen made them feel as though they were flying through space, and the story helped them learn more about the Moon and space travel.
It was a wonderful day of hands-on learning and discovery, and our Year Ones came back full of excitement and new knowledge to share.
