From the ICOM Library

Sunnah to smile week was a happy affair throughout the library in week 8 with plenty of book displays highlighting the different environments where a big smile goes a long way. The library also hosted a Year 6 boys incursion workshop which focussed on behavior. It was a joy to watch the student get involved and have fun.

Our Craft & Colouring Club continues to be a great success as the students get the opportunity to explore their creative side each Thursday at lunchtime.

The library was also fortunate enough to have a complete set of Minecraft chapter books donated this term, adding to our already extensive Minecraft collection, much to the excitement of our students, who borrowed them all within 2 days!

We finished the term off with STEM week in the library,  giving us the opportunity to highlighted our large selection of non-fiction books relating to all things STEM. During the week the students also got involved in a 'Draw Einstein' event taking place in the library which had a fantastic turn out and the talent amongst the participants was amazing.

Have a wonderful break and we look forward to seeing all of our students back in Term 4.

Assalamualaikum warahmatullah wabarakatuh.

The library celebrated STEM Week with vibrant displays and specially curated book collections highlighting science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Shelves featured new and classic titles that sparked curiosity and encouraged students to explore the connections between innovation and everyday life.

At the same time, our Year 12 students are wrapping up their final term. Many are making the most of the library’s quiet spaces as they prepare for practice and final exams. Their dedication and focus are inspiring, and we wish them every success as they move into this important stage of their education.

STEM Week’s displays and resources served as a reminder of the endless possibilities in these fields, while the determined efforts of our Year 12 cohort show the power of perseverance. The library continues to be a welcoming place for study, inspiration, and future pathways.
