Y1: Chef's Day

On Wednesday, 27th August, our Year 1 students celebrated a fun-filled Chef’s Day. The excitement began as the children put on their aprons and chef hats at school, ready to step into the role of little chefs for the day.

Throughout the day, students rotated through a range of cooking activities. They loved making “worms in dirt” desserts, carefully layering chocolate pudding, crushed biscuits and lolly worms.

Decorating smiley-face biscuits was another highlight, with students using icing and lollies to create their own colourful designs. To finish off, they prepared fruity kebabs, carefully threading pieces of fresh fruit to make bright, healthy treats.

The day was not only fun but also a wonderful way to practise important skills such as following instructions, measuring, teamwork and sharing. The children took great pride in their creations and enjoyed tasting their delicious results.

It was a fantastic day full of laughter, learning, and lots of tasty memories that we are sure our Year 1 students will remember!
