Frankston Library Book Week performance
Last Thursday, the Junior school students attended a magical and adventurous performance by Carp Children's Theatre. The students were mesmerised throughout the performance, and they were also an enthusiastic audience and enjoyed assisting in the storytelling. We are highly grateful for the invitation from Frankston Library.
Swimming
This week has seen the Preps challenge themselves in the swimming pool at PARC. For some students, this is their first opportunity to experience swimming lessons. All the students have shown courage and a positive attitude towards their lessons. It has also been a great opportunity for the students to practice their independence in getting dressed and taking responsibility for their belongings. Well done Preps!
Maths
In Maths, the students are learning about measurement. They compared the length of two objects, then compared the height of various objects. Using the language shorter than, longer than, and taller than, they described and compared the length and height of multiple objects and themselves. In addition, they ordered objects based on length.
Prep liturgy
On Wednesday afternoon, Father Chinua led our classroom liturgy. The message in the liturgy was that God is special and we are special because of God's love. It was also an opportunity to thank Father Chinua for his presence and for sharing his passion for Jesus with the students.
