The Learning Relationship
Glen Education Chelsea
Child-Led Learning , "Responsive learning relationships are strengthened as educators and children learn together and share decisions, respect and trust. Responsiveness enables educators to respectfully enter children’s play and ongoing projects, stimulate their thinking and enrich their learning"

A Philosophy of Shared Responsibility, "The term pedagogy in this Framework refers to the art, science or craft of educating. It describes the professional knowledge, practices and creativity that educators use to intentionally foster and nurture children’s learning, development and wellbeing. When educators establish respectful relationships with children and their families, they are able to work together to use relational and place-based pedagogies that assist in developing curriculum relevant to children in their local context."

The Importance of Family
Glen Education Murrumbeena
Cultivating Curious Learning Dispositions, By learning cooperatively with their peers, the children were able share their thoughts with each other. They began to understand that listening to the responses of others can help them understand and make new meaning of experiences.

The Value of Puzzles, Often the levels of ability amongst the children are at very different levels, and puzzles provide a good opportunity for children to learn from one another when the degree of complexity is proving to be a bit challenging. We provide a range of puzzles in our program to cater for various developmental stages. Puzzles allow children to choose to work on their own, or with their peers to complete the puzzle, and it can give opportunities to engage in rich conversations with others during the experience.

Secure Partnerships, "The Circle of Security is a way of thinking about children that enables carers and educators to look beyond the children’s immediate behaviour and think about how to meet their relationship needs. This approach fits well with childcare practice, in which the quality of the relationships you make with children, the way you support their relationships with peers and the partnerships you develop with their families, are crucial. The Circle of Security helps you observe the different ways that children approach you to seek support and make use of your help."

Fostering Creative Thinking, "Active involvement and engagement in learning builds children’s understandings of concepts and the creative thinking and inquiry processes that are necessary for lifelong learning"
